Delete your account

Sabzy for iPhone · updated 9 September 2026

Sabzy asks you to sign in, so it also has to let you close the account again. This page is how: what to tap, what to write if you cannot open the app, exactly what is deleted, what is not, and how long it takes. The account is the same on every device you sign in on, so deleting it once is enough.

Delete it in the app

The app does the work while you wait. Nothing is queued for later and nothing is scheduled: when the screen closes, the copy held on our side is already gone.

  1. Open Sabzy and go to Profile.
  2. Tap the account row at the top of the screen — it carries your name, or “Sabzy account” if you never set one.
  3. On the Account screen, tap Delete account. It is the last thing on the screen, under Sign out.
  4. The app asks “Delete your Sabzy account?” and says what will happen. Tap Delete.
  5. Sign in once more with Apple or Google. That is how the app makes sure it is you, and the deletion runs the moment it succeeds.

If it stops halfway — the connection drops, the sign-in sheet is closed — the app says so and nothing further is removed. Running it again finishes the job. If it still fails, write to mirzo.7767@gmail.com and the rest is removed by hand.

If you cannot open the app

You do not have to install anything to be deleted. Write from the email address your account uses, say that you want your Sabzy account deleted, and say whether you signed in with Apple or with Google. That address is the only thing the account can be found by, so a request from a different one cannot be acted on — it would be a way to delete somebody else's diary.

mirzo.7767@gmail.com

One developer reads every message. You will normally have a reply within a few days, and the deletion is carried out within thirty days of the request at the latest.

What is deleted

Everything held on our side under your account, in one go:

  • Your profile — name, picture, height, weight, date of birth, sex, activity level, goal and daily targets.
  • Your log — every meal with its foods, calories and macros, every weigh-in, every glass of water.
  • The meal photographs and the profile picture stored with them.
  • The daily totals published to your group, if you were in one, and your row on that group's list.
  • The push tokens of the devices you were signed in on, and the record of whether a subscription was active.
  • The sign-in itself — the account identifier and the email address Apple or Google passed on. If you signed in with Apple, the app also revokes the token Apple issued, so nothing is left joining the two.

There is no backup it could come back from and no grace period in which it could be undone. Signing in again afterwards, with the same Apple or Google account, gives you a new and empty one.

What stays on your phone

Deleting the account deliberately leaves the diary on your device where it is, and the app says so before you confirm: losing years of meals as a side effect of closing an account is not what anybody means to do. Uninstalling Sabzy is what removes the copy on the phone.

On an iPhone with iCloud mirroring on, there is a copy in your own iCloud as well, which only you can read. It is removed in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Sabzy.

What is kept afterwards, and for how long

Three things outlive the account. None of them says what you ate, and the Privacy Policy describes all three in full.

  • Anonymous usage and crash reports in Google Firebase. They are tied to an identifier for the installation, not to you or your account — which is the point, and also the limit: we cannot pick yours out to remove them. Google deletes them when the retention period set on the project expires, and uninstalling the app stops any new ones.
  • If you ever redeemed a promotional code, that code keeps the identifier of the account that used it, so the same code cannot be redeemed twice. It carries nothing else about you.
  • Ordinary server logs, which Google keeps for about thirty days. Entries in the shared barcode catalogue stay too, but they are nutrition facts about commercial products and contain nothing about you.

How long it takes

In the app, immediately. The confirmation sign-in is the last step, and by the time the screen closes it is done. A long diary with hundreds of photographs takes a few seconds more, and that is all.

By email it takes as long as one person takes to read a message: usually a few days, and within thirty days at the outside.

If you are in a group

A group is the shared subscription: one person buys it, and everyone they invite has Premium while it runs. What deleting your account does depends on which of the two you are, and the app does not stop to ask — so it is worth knowing first.

If you joined somebody else's group, you simply leave it. The group carries on without you, your row and the days you published go with your account, and the notes the group had written about its members are cleared.

If the group is yours — you are the one paying — deleting your account deletes the whole group. Every member is removed and told the group is gone, and everyone loses the Premium the plan was giving them. Nobody inherits it: there is no automatic transfer to another member. If the group should outlive your account, hand it to somebody else first, in the group's own settings, and delete the account after that.

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription

Sabzy Pro and the group plans are sold by Apple, never by us, and only Apple can cancel one. Deleting your account ends your access to the app; it does not stop the billing, and it is not a refund. Cancel first, then delete.

On an iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. A refund is Apple's to give as well — reportaproblem.apple.com.
